Water is essential to sustain life, yet approximately one billion people do not have access to safe clean drinking water.
Providing and improving access to clean drinking water can result in tangible benefits to people's health and their way of life. Contaminated water is responsible for harbouring life threatening diseases such as Dysentery, Cholera, Typhoid and Bacteria as well as parasitic worms such as Guinea worm, Hook worm and Bilharzia.
Approximately 5,000 children a day die as a result of water borne diseases.
MECKOW is dedicated to help improve the lives of millions of people in the developing world who are denied access to safe clean drinking water. The project, from the beginning was driven by humanitarian needs to provide safe clean drinking water in developing countries, a basic necessity of life.
This is done through the use of our innovative water filtration system, MECKOW Aquapur a simple solution to a complex problem.
