MECKOW EPA20 Case Study
Luanda Province - Angola
During 2007 there was a requirement for the Supply of a Potable Water Treatment Plant in Bita Campo – Viana Municipality, Luande Province and the MECKOW EPA20 fulfilled all the requirements stipulated. The requirements of the Customer were the unit needed to be compact, easily maintained and with a capacity of 20 m3/h.
Along with the supply of the Water Treatment Plant came the installation, commissioning and training of the local operators, thus helping to build capacity on territory. The operation of the MECKOW EPA20 was supervised for a period of one year to ensure the local team, in charge of the daily operation of the unit were fully conversed in the running and maintenance.
This plant has been running successfully since November 2007 providing safe, clean drinking water for the local community.
Kylunda, Funda Municipality
This project was for the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of the compact Potable Water Treatment Plant (MECKOW EPA20) with a capacity of 20 m3/h.
Not only did this municipality require the assembly of the MECKOW EPA20 but also the transportation of the water from its source at the Bengo River (including installation of the pump and electrical connections) and the distribution system.
Once again training took place locally to ensure the team in charge of the operation of the MECKOW EPA20 fully understood how to run the plant.
This plant has been operating successfully since June 2008.
